Our History

Clint is a licensed funeral director/embalmer who graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1992 with a degree in Funeral Service. He was the Valedictorian of his class. Prior to this, he worked for a small town family owned funeral home, then for a large corporate funeral home, doing odd jobs and helping out in any way he could. During this time, the loss of close family increased his desire to serve other families during their greatest time of need. After graduating, serving a one-year apprenticeship, and passing state board exams, Clint returned to his hometown to again work at the funeral home there.

In 1995, Clint, Cherie, and their two children, moved to Augusta to work for the same corporation he had worked prior to receiving his license. Soon it was time for a change and he accepted a job working for a family owned six funeral home operation in the Wichita area. After a few years, he moved on to a different large corporate funeral home. While working for these other funeral homes, Clint always had a dream in the back of his mind to open his own funeral home in Augusta, which he now considered home for himself and his family. As time went on, the dream occupied more of his thoughts, and when the perfect building became available, he was determined to make his dream of serving Augusta a reality. The Headley’s purchased their building on April 1, 2003, did the necessary remodeling, and the business was officially opened June 9, 2003.

Cherie, a graduate of The University of Kansas with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting, became a licensed funeral director in July of 2004.
