Yvonne Apel

Yvonne Apel, 86, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in Wichita. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Yvonne was born in Stafford, KS on December 10, 1934, to the late Wilma (Clothier) and Thomas Renfro. She was a care taker at Santa Fe Lake for many years and was also a floral designer. On November 28, 1953 she married Harry C. Apel in Ellinwood, KS. He preceded her in death along with her son, Duane Apel; brother, Johnny Renfro; sister, Phyllis Reifschneider. She is survived by: son, Doug  Apel and wife Patty; son, Mike  Apel and wife Tonie; daughter, Denise Pence; daughter, Melinda  Leonard and husband Darrell; son, Mark  Apel; 13 grandkids; 16 great grandkids.
