Lowell R. Putnam

Lowell R. Putnam, 88, of Augusta, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Kansas Veterans Home in Winfield, KS. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2018, at Augusta United Methodist Church. Private family inurnment at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Lowell  was born in Admire, KS on January 25, 1930, to the late Anna Pearl (Snyder) and Theodore R. Putnam.  He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. Lowell worked as a pipeline employee for Mobil Oil, and retired from Fleming Foods. On October 6, 1952 he married Donna Louise (Mabry) in Bentonville, AR.  She survives him. He is also survived by: son, Tim Putnam of Augusta; daughter, Jan Bauer and husband Greg of Wichita; grandchildren, Adam Bauer, Jennifer Pottorff, Reanna Putnam, Jordan Bauer; great grandchildren Aiden Bauer, Arlo Pease.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Duane Putnam.
