Juanita Frances Wilks

Juanita Frances Wilks, 96, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020. Graveside service 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2020, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Those attending the service are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Juanita was born in Clearwater, KS on April 16, 1924, to the late Relura Rosalind Opal (Bruner) and Harry Whitbeck. She was a garment presser at Purdins Cleaners for many years, and worked at the Augusta Senior Center for many years before retiring. On July 21, 1953 she married Maynard C. Wilks in Bentonville, AR. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Christine Styles; brothers, Harry C. Whitbeck, Jr., Richard Whitbeck; sisters, Rosalind Marie Spivey, Beulah May Myatt, Pearl Edith Fedeson. She is survived by: 3 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
