Jessey James Dupree Lanier, 26, of Augusta, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at home. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 and service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Leon Cemetery, Leon, KS. Jessey was born in Wichita, KS on September 12, 1994, to Janet (Beach) and Steve Lanier. He worked at Prairie House cafe, was a press operator at Pioneer Balloon and worked as a driver for Fast Ball Express. Jessey was an outgoing musical artist who loved to write songs. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Jan Lanier; brothers, Jon and Jacob Lanier; grandmother, Bernice Beach; grandfather, Robert and Naomi Lanier; aunts and uncles, Bob and Debbie Gardner, Chris Lanier, Mary and Matt Partyka, Jack Burton, Jim and Sally Beach, Peggy Gomez, Sherry and Ronnie Pressler, Connie and Tim Donnelley, and Charlotte Dorr. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Beach and grandmother, Sharon (Rousseau) Lanier. Jessey was easygoing and will be missed for his good hearted nature.
