Jane E. Schild, 78, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in Augusta, KS. Rosary 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, all at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Jane was born in Wichita, KS on August 20, 1945, to the late Effie Harlene (Imel) and Amon Enois Fairbanks. She had worked as a pharmacy technician at Graves in El Dorado and an optometry technician at Crum and Todd in Augusta. Jane enjoyed wintering in Texas and social events throughout her life including meeting with her high school classmates. On June 29, 1963, she married Marvin Schild in Augusta, KS, and he survives her. She is also survived by: sons, Chris Schild and wife Jeanette of Andover; and Tim Schild and wife Carolyn of Columbia, MO; daughters, Sheryl Litton and husband Scott of Augusta; and Jeannie McLemore of Zephyrhills, FL; brother, Jim Fairbanks of Wichita; grandchildren, Blake Schild, Calvin Schild (Melissa), Clint Schild (Ashley); Mason Schild, (Amanda), Miles Schild; Trenton Barnes, Jenna Litton; and Joshua, Charles, and Joey McLemore; and great grandchildren, Christian Schild, Janzen Schild, Jordan Schild, Finnigan Schild, Augustus Schild, Charlotte Schild, Kensley McLemore and Charles McLemore Jr. Jane was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Ohl; great grandchildren, Conor Schild, Charlotte Schild and Madison Schild; and a daughter-in-law, Melissa Schild.
