James "Jim" Shaver

James "Jim" Shaver, 81, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at home. Memorial graveside service 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2020 at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Jim was born in Grand Junction, CO on March 5, 1939, to the late Verl (Mitchel) and Claude P. Shaver. Jim served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He retired from Boeing and Raytheon. On August 22, 1970 he married Gwen (Haynes) in Wichita, KS who survives him. He is also survived by: daughter, Lori Richardson and husband Kip; sons, Jay Shaver and wife Debbie, Chuck Shaver, and Eric Shaver and wife Angel all of Augusta, KS; brother, Marvin Shaver of Golden, CO; grandchildren, Adam Tipton and wife Carol, Cole Richardson and wife Olivia, Danica Baker, Chelsea Lee and husband Chris, Grissom, Carmen, Cressa, Carleigh, Hannah, and Noah Shaver; great grandchildren, Chandlar and Briggs Nickel, Benjamin, Luke, Emmerson, and Tyler Tipton, Oliver and Dawson Richardson, Oakley, Kainon, Paxton, and Wyatt Lee, and Nora Whitaker. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Shaver; daughter, Kimberley Thomas; granddaughter, Ashley Nickel; Memorial donations to Good Shepherd Hospice 7829 E.
