Frank Tipton

Frank Tipton, 77, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Visitation with the family will be 6 p.m. to 8. p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2021, at First Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Frank was born in Sterling, Kansas on April 7, 1944, to the late Viola and Dave Tipton. He worked as an aircraft painter at Boeing early in life and later owned his own painting service. Frank liked to hunt, fish, cook and garden. Frank truly loved his family. He loved both coaching his boys and going to all their activities, and when grandchildren came along he enjoyed spending time with them and going to all of their activities.  On May 5, 1963 he married Ruth Ann (Forpahl) Tipton at First Baptist Church in Augusta and she survives him. He is also survived by: sons, Mitch Tipton and wife Julie, Matt Tipton and wife Jessi; brothers, John Tipton and wife Beverly and Larry Tipton; grandchildren, Abby Willis (Colby), Garrett, Emma, Corbin and Eli Tipton; and great grandson, Wyatt Willis. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mike Tipton. Memorial donations to First Baptist Church 1501 State Street Augusta, KS 67010.
