Forrest "Joe" Lynn Paddock, 86, of Rose Hill, KS, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 in Wichita. Service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Rose Hill United Methodist Church, Rose Hill, KS. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Rose Hill, KS. Forrest was born in Oberlin, KS on December 27, 1937, to the late Kenneth "Bob" and Dorothy (Smith) Paddock. He graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1956. On July 12, 1959 he married Marjorie Lea (Daniel) Paddock in Oberlin, KS. Forrest lived and worked on a farm, measuring wheat ground until the early 1960's. He then worked hauling crude oil for Rock Island for several years before moving to Wichita in the late 1960's when he began working in the aircraft industry. Forrest stayed working as an aircraft machinist until his early retirement from Boeing. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife to many different states in their camper. His hobbies included dancing, having card parties with friends, going camping, fishing, boating, woodworking, and gardening. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Marjorie Paddock; siblings, Kay Johnson, Bobby Paddock, and Johnny Paddock. He is survived by: daughter, Cheryl Henry; son, Terry Paddock and wife Rita; grandchildren, Rebecca Crawford (Dustin), Kristin Dickerson (Greg Robertson), Christopher, Michael and Daniel Paddock; great grandchildren, Rylan Rhinehart, Lulla Paddock, Kinley Dickerson, Forrest Dickerson, and Westyn Robertson; sisters, Colleen Tarman (Dave), and Jeanie Paddock.
