Dixie Marie Mauldin

Dixie Marie Mauldin, 76, of Leon, KS passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Augusta, KS. Memorial visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Memorial graveside service 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2024, at Leon Cemetery, Leon, KS. Following the graveside, there will be a dinner at the Leon Senior Center. Dixie was born near Burlington, IA on March 17, 1947, to Juanita E. (Olson) and Roy Davey. She held many jobs over the years including working as a hairdresser, owning a daycare, and working for USD 205 as a cook and a driver. On December 28, 1988 she married Bill Mauldin in Newkirk, OK who survives her. She is also survived by: daughters, Trisa Chamness and Lisa Chamness; step son, Vincent Mauldin; step daughter, Melissa Speagle; brother, Tom Davey; grandchildren, Elisha "Dani" Yockey (Chris) and Trevor Speagle (Jaimee); great grandchildren, Madison Yockey, Colton Yockey, Berkley Speagle, Briggs Speagle, and Beau Speagle. She was preceded in death by her parents and her granddaughter, Ashlyn Chamness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
