Delores "Doris" M. Higgs

Delores M. "Doris" Higgs, 92, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Wichita. Visitation 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Those attending should use the 12th Street entrance. Doris was born in El Dorado, KS on January 27, 1929, to the late Dorothy (Haskins) Seibert and Wendell O. Seibert. She had worked as a  cook  at  the Augusta schools. On December 6, 1949, she married Marvin Higgs in El Dorado, KS. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Humphries and Madonna Seymour. Doris is survived by: sons, David Higgs and wife Diane of Augusta, and Daniel Higgs and wife Debby of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Higgs (Caitlin), Matthew Higgs, and Kelly Lanier (Phillip); great grandchildren, Austin and Brent Link and Jasper Newcomer-Higgs; and great-great grandchild, Kayden Link.
