Cori James Young

Cori James Young, 47, of Mulvane, KS, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Wichita. Rosary 6:30 p.m. with visitation following from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Mulvane Cemetery, Mulvane, KS. Cori was born in Wellington, KS on October 20, 1976. He was a 3rd degree knight in the Knights of Columbus brotherhood. Cori enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, traveling, and watching Chiefs and OU football. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Cori was always the life of the party and lit up any room he walked into. He lived and loved big. Cori worked at Young Electric, Inc. since 1995, became a master electrician, and became the business owner in 2018. On August 29, 1998 he married Ellen A. (Lewis) who survives him. He is also survived by: son, Jaxen Young (Isabella Parker) of Mulvane, KS; daughter, Ellen "Alyssa" Young (Jaden Tatum) of Mulvane, KS; son, Gabriel Young of Mulvane, KS; grandchild, Daylen Tatum; father, James Olen Young and wife Kathy of Wichita, KS; mother, Jani Sue (Folsom) Stannard of Wichita, KS; grandmother, Carolyn Kisner and husband Deon of Wichita, KS; brothers, Jason Young (Dawn) of Emporia, KS, and Anthony Young (Grace) of Wichtia, KS; nieces and nephews, Braxton Young, Aaron Pinpin, Francine Pinpin, Rain Young, and Victoria Young; father and mother in law, Briant and Ellen Lewis; sister in law, Susan Lewis; brother in law, Gavin Lewis. Memorial donations to Independent Electrical Contractors of Kansas (IECKS) or Knights of Columbus - Mulvane.
