Alvin L. Morrison

Alvin L. Morrison, 91, of Augusta, KS, and formerly of El Reno, OK and Union City, OK, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Augusta, KS. Rosary at 10:30 a.m. followed by funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022, all at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 403 Kate Boevers, Union City, OK. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Union City, OK. Alvin was born in Union City, OK on November 13, 1930, to the late Mary Ann (Musshafen) and Guy Harrison Morrison. He was the former owner of Blue Ribbon Cabinets and retired in 2015 after 48 years. Alvin was a devoted Catholic attending daily mass at St. James in Augusta, and prior to moving to Augusta at Sacred Heart in El Reno, OK and St. Joseph in Union City, OK. He enjoyed gardening and raising chickens. Alvin also was a wood craftsman making crosses for those he loved. On February 14, 1975 he married Joyce (Staton) Morrison and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Meryl. Alvin is survived by: son, Fred Morrison and wife Linda of Augusta, KS; daughter, Diane Baxter of Ft. Cobb, OK; grandchildren, Joe Stiner (Sherry) of Yukon, OK, Carrie Tatyrek (Shawn) of Yukon, OK, Bryan Morrison (Marie) of Edmond, OK, Justin Green (Sara) of Easton, KS; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
