Rosemary Ann Taylor

Rosemary Ann Taylor of Augusta passed into Eternal Life on Friday evening, April 10, 2026 at the age of 97 years. She was born July 22, 1928 in Purity Springs, KS the daughter of August and Grace (Ward) Sailer. She graduated from Leon High School in 1946. On October 10, 1947 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Beryl E. Mohler at the home of her brother in Leon, KS. Family history relates that following the ceremony, the two newlyweds secretly escaped out a window and left their own wedding!! The marriage lasted 54 years until his death. She later married a widowed longtime friend, Roger Taylor and they enjoyed 8 years together until his death.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. She lived it out as a children's Sunday School teacher at the Leon Christian Church for 33 years, also serving in VBS and youth ministries, and supporting all activities of her church. After moving from Leon, she became a member of the Augusta Christian Church where she also served until no longer able.

Never was Rosemary happier than when surrounded by her family. Her dinner table was always full of delicious treats and everyone was welcome. The birth of each grandchild was special. And as the great grandchildren began to arrive, she gained the treasured title of Great'n. As they grew, she never missed their activities, whether music, drama, cheer leading or sports. She would show up in the appropriate school colors and be the proudest person in the crowd. Her grandchildren still laugh because Grandma would show up an hour early just to make sure she got the best seat in the house. We will all miss her dearly, and the empty seat at family gatherings will surely speak loudly of her absence.

She leaves behind a son, Barry and wife Sue Mohler of Rose Hill; a daughter, Genie and her husband Wayne Willhite of Arkansas City, KS; grandchildren, Dustin (Elaina) Willhite, Wendy (Chris) Mohler-Seib, Lacy (Jake) Cleveland, and Susannah (Braden) Smith; as well as 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Beryl Mohler and Roger Taylor; a grandson, Timothy Willhite; and two brothers, Jim and John Sailer.
