Rick Deen Liebst

Rick Deen Liebst, 68, of Augusta, KS, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Rick was born to Bernie Liebst and Mary Liebst on August 12, 1957.

Rick loved attending the senior center and having tea. He attended church at Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church. He loved sitting outside and watching his grandkids play. He always wore an eye patch and loved being called papa pirate.

Rick is survived by: his wife Joyce (Bates) Liebst of the home; son, Michael Liebst and wife Jessica of Andover, KS; daughter, Jennifer Liebst of Augusta, KS; son, Richard Liebst and wife Latisha of Augusta, KS; daughter, Jessica and husband Tim of Augusta, KS; 11 grandchildren, Kayden, Noah, Natalie, Jakob, Damian, Lukas, Emma, Grace, Tessa, Jaelynn, and Bentley

He was preceded in death by: his father, Bernie Liebst; mother, Mary Liebst; and sister, Penny Liebst.

The family will hold a celebration of life on his birthday, Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church, Augusta, KS.
