Merlin "Woody" Gwynne Wood

Merlin Gwynne "Woody" Wood, 86, of Augusta, KS passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023. The family will hold a memorial graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Merlin was born in Hutchinson, KS on March 13, 1937, to the late Kathleen Mildred (Love) and Lowell Gwynne Wood. He served in both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy. He retired as an engineer from Southwestern Bell. He is survived by: sons, Mike Wood, and Richard Wood and wife Michelle; daughter, Cherie Daigneault and husband Jeremy; grandson, Michael Gwynne Wood. He was preceded in death by: sister, Yvonne Rodgers; brother, Lonnie K.  Wood.
