Linda Susan Martin

Linda Susan Martin, 79, of Andover, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at home. Service 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025, at Woodridge Christian Church at 12111 E 13th St Wichita, KS. Burial will follow across the street at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita, KS. Linda was born in Webb City, MO on November 20, 1945, to the late Frankie Bell (Wickizer) and Cecil Guy Peters. She was an administrative specialist at WSU for 26 years. Linda loved her retirement! It gave her time for watching sports and cheering on the Kansas City Royals and the Chiefs. She is survived by: son, John Murphy II and wife Laura of Wichita, KS; daughter, Jeanette Schild and husband Chris of Andover, KS; sisters, Nadine Sumpter of Springfield, MO, Donna Eads of Denver, Colo; grandchildren, Justin Murphy (Calli), John Murphy III (Bethany), Melanie Gorham (Andrew), Blake Schild (Ali), Calvin Schild (Melissa), and Clinton Schild (Ashley); great grandchildren, Crysto, Rowan, Madison, Matthiason, Patrick, John IV, Christian, Janzen, Jordan, Teddy, Finnigan, and Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Martin; brother, Pete Peters; sisters, Norma, Maxine, Caroline, Billie, Earlene, and Frieda; great grandchildren, Conor, Charlotte, and Madison.
