Lenah "Nelva" (Seaburn) Wentz, 98, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021. Visitation 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Service 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, at First Christian Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Leon Cemetery, Leon, KS. Nelva was born outside Jay, in Delaware County, OK on February 24, 1923, to Lenah Jane (Woolery) and George Ollie Seaburn. Her father's death in 1929 left her mother to raise four children as a single mother. Nelva married Donald Arthur Wentz on January 9, 1942.  They had two children, Trudy C. (Wentz) Jacobson, and David C. Wentz and wife Bethel. Nelva enjoyed embroidery, sewing, cooking meals, and baking cookies for her friends and family. She worked at Cooper Drug for 17 years. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; two siblings, William Seaburn, and Dorothy (Seaburn) Johnston; grandchildren, Sara Beth, Cecila Marie, and Rachel Ashley Wentz. She is survived by: her children; her sister, Lucille (Seaburn) (Ehret) Ewart; grandchildren, Eric L. Jacobson, Aaron W. Jacobson (Roberta); great grandchildren, Hannah and Hailey Matthews; many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to Donald and Nelva Wentz memorial fund, Christian Church Foundation, P.O. Box 1007 Indianapolis, IN 46206-1007 or First Christian Church, 1600 State St. Augusta, KS 67010.
