Judy Riggs

Judy Riggs, 79, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026 in Wichita, KS. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2026 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Service 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Augusta United Methodist Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Judy was born in Wichita, KS on June 30, 1946, to the late Marjorie (Golf) and Claude Beal. She was a nurse for Dr. Clay and Dr. Bland for many years. Judy was an avid KU Jayhawks fan, but she especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports. On February 17, 1980 she married Curt Nixon Riggs in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her son, Neil Riggs and brother, Edward Beal. She is survived by: son, Landon Riggs and wife Ashley; daughters, Kelley Bird and husband Chuck, and Kristy Miller; brothers, Dale Beal and wife Mary, and Pat Beal and wife Jill; grandchildren, Cody Bird (Ciera), Laramie Stowers (Darrien), Matthew Bird, Alex Miller, Gracie Perez, Landon "L.J." Riggs, Nixon Riggs, and Kayla Ortiz; great grandchildren, Mason and Logan Newcomer, Colson Miller, Max, Rio, and Charlotte Bird.
