Janice Marie Stanford

Janice Marie Stanford, 75, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Janice was born in El Dorado, KS on February 25, 1951, to the late Phyllis Marie (Kennedy) and Robert Earl Stanford, Sr. Janice was a lifelong resident of Augusta, KS and a devoted mother to her two children, Mendy Curry (deceased) and Steve Bauer as well as her three grandchildren children Jordan, Taylor and Morgan Curry. Owning her playful sense of humor and spunky personality, Janice tended to be the life of the party. She is survived by: son, Steven Bauer of Wichita; brother, Robert Stanford, Jr. (wife Karen) of Bellville, TX; Matt Stanford (Sara and Luna) of Hamilton Montana; cousins Mike Kennedy of Wichita, KS and Stephen Kennedy of Rochester, NY; granddaughters, Jordan, Taylor, and Morgan Curry of Augusta, KS. And last but not least, her beloved little dog Bandi. A small celebration of life is pending.
