Jamie Lee Tullis

Jamie Lee Tullis, 79, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026 in Wichita. A Rosary will be held at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Wichita, KS. Jamie was born in Baxter Springs, KS on January 28, 1947, to the late Colleen (Valliere) and Basil Owen Jackson. She graduated from Baxter Springs High School and later graduated from Pittsburg State University with her Bachelors degree in 1969 and her Masters in 2000. She spent many dedicated years in education having worked as an elementary school teacher in Kansas and Oklahoma, a program director for Labette Community College, a special education teacher in south east Kansas, and finally retiring from teaching from Butler Community College. Jamie loved reading, painting, quilting, crocheting, knitting, and travelling. In November of 2009 she married John F. Tullis in Oswego, KS who survives her. She is also survived by: sons, Miles Dickerson and wife Rebeca, and Jeffrey Dickerson and wife Renn; step sons, Mike Tullis and wife Donna, Ken Tullis and wife Carmen, Gary Tullis and wife Robin, and Barry Tullis; step daughter, Tina Tullis; 12 grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 22 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dallas LeeAnn Dickerson and a sister, Jan Rodriguez. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Catholic School, 1012 Belmont Avenue Augusta, KS 67010.
