Glenda Faye Gideon

Glenda Faye Gideon, 65, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 in Andover. Visitation Thursday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026 at New Life Tabernacle, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Glenda was born in Van Buren, Arkansas on December 8, 1960, to the late Norma Joan (Secondine) and Thomas Houston Lyons, Sr. She worked in food service at the Augusta central kitchen and then lunch service at Lincoln Elementary and Augusta High School. On December 4, 1993, she married Dennis Gideon in Wichita and he survives her. She is also survived by: daughters, Natalie Reed and husband Brady of Pueblo, CO; and Dawn Andrews and husband Joshua of Potwin; sons, Christopher Gideon of Augusta; and Steven Leitzel and wife Julianne of Wichita; brother, Thomas Lyons, Jr. of Augusta; grandchildren, Isaac and Carly Reed, Wesley Leitzel, Matthew Reed, Kolten Dowler, Paisley Dowler, Serenity Andrews, Brennan Reed, and Alexander Leitzel. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Lyons.
