Genice Carpenter, 81, of Grove, OK, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Graveside services 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, KS. Genice was born in Jay, OK on October 1, 1937, to the late Faye Elaine (Wyrick) and Kay Newton Payton. She retired as a Telecommunications Operator at Beech Aircraft. She is survived by: her husband, Tom Carpenter; son, Tommy Carpenter; sisters, Beverley Clark, Mary Thornton; brother, Jerry Payton; numerous nieces and nephews.
