Gary Wayne Lawson, 50, passed away on October 6, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on May 29, 1975, in Wichita and grew up in Augusta, Kansas. Gary was known for his loyal spirit, fun-loving nature, and generous heart.

A proud graduate of Augusta High School and WATC, Gary built a career in restaurant management, dedicating his time and talents to I Hop and KFC. His work ethic and leadership left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.

Gary found his greatest joy in the company of his family. He shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Marta Lawson. Together they raised two children, Kelsi Lawson and Braden Lawson, who were the center of his world. He cherished every moment spent with them and took pride in their lives and accomplishments.

He is also remembered by his mother, Cindy Stilwell of Erie, Kansas; father, Kenny Lawson of Augusta, Kansas; and brother, Steven Lawson of Augusta, Kansas. Each held a special place in Gary's heart.

Outside of work and family life, Gary had a deep affection for his dog Zeus. Whether going for walks or simply relaxing at home, he found comfort and companionship in his presence.

The family will hold a memorial service 3:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Augusta First Church of the Nazarene 117 W. 6th Ave, Augusta, Kansas. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
