Gary L. Ball

Gary L. Ball, 79, of Derby, KS, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026 at home. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2026 and service 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2026, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Gary was born in El Dorado, KS on September 26, 1946, to the late Blanche Mae (Davis) and Henry Lorraine Ball. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked in maintenance as a boilerman for Beech, Mobil, Boeing, and finally retired from Spirit. On June 6, 1969 he married Jeannie (Jones) Ball in El Dorado, KS who survives him. He is also survived by: son, Troy Ball; daughters, Tricia Ball, Tracie Austin, and Nikki Stratton and husband Glenn; grandchildren, Jared (Stacie), Josh, Jayden, and Journey Austin, and Braden Stratton; great grandchildren, Stella, Brenton, and Brody Austin.
