Franklin D. Edwards passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Wichita, KS on June 8, 2025. Born on January 15, 1943, in Bee Branch, AR, he was the beloved son of Farrell and Gereda (Sohn) Edwards.

A proud veteran, Frank served his country in the Army as a military policeman and then spent the rest of his career in the fiberglass and plastics industry. He spent the last several years living in Augusta, KS where he established and ran Precision Fiberglass that specialized in manufacturing fiberglass products. Beyond his work, Frank was passionate about his faith and his local church and was a devoted husband. He was an avid gamer and chess player. He found joy in raising and taking care of animals on his farm and building things with his hands. He was a very competitive card player and had a funny sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Edwards; his brother, Tracy Edwards; his daughter, Echo Edwards-Wentz (Steve); his daughter, Erin Anderson (Rod); his son, Erol Edwards; his son, Robert Edwards (Lisa); his step-son, Michael Denney; his step-daughter, Michele Neumaier (John); his step-daughter, Melissa Blea (Joseph); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Edwards and her mother, Shirley Edwards. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

In accordance with Frank's wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest in Andover Cemetary. The family will hold a memorial service at Central Baptist Church in Augusta located at 7421 SW Church Road on Tuesday, June 10th at 2:00 p.m.
