Emelia Rose (Trujillo) Lara

Emelia Rose Lara, 85, of Augusta, KS, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at home. Service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Emelia was born in Las Animas, CO on March 6, 1933, to the late Josie (Gonzales)  and Floyd Trujillo. She graduated from High School in Las Animas, CO. Following high school, she married John Lara. Beginning in 1968, Emelia and her husband ran Sound Electronics/Radio Shack in Augusta, KS.  She is survived by: husband, John of 67 years; daughters, Linda  Mitchell and husband Larry, and Dolores Lara; sons, John M. Lara and wife Laura, and Danny Lara and wife Amy; brothers, Daniel Trujillo and wife Alice, and Floyd Trujillo and wife Beatrice; 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Trujillo; brother, Ray Trujillo. Memorial donations to Amedisys Foundation 250 W. Douglas Suite 101 Wichita, KS 67202.
