Debra R. Wilson

Debra R. Wilson, 75, of Towanda, KS, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in Wichita. Visitation Monday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Towanda Community Church, Towanda, KS. Burial will follow at Towanda Cemetery, Towanda, KS. Debra was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 9, 1950, to the late Nora Gene (Pyle) and James Rodney McWilliams. She worked as a 1st Grade teacher at Wichita Collegiate and as a substitute teacher at Towanda Schools. On June 1, 1969, she married Jimmie Wilson at the First Christian Church in Towanda and he survives her. She is also survived by: son, Josh Wilson of Towanda; daughters, Audrey Varner and husband Don of Russell, KS; and Roxie Butler of Towanda; brother, John "Rocky" McWilliams and wife Beverly of Benton, KS; grandchildren, Andrea and Trey Varner, Blain, Zack, Timothy and Victoria Wilson; and great grandchildren, Raylie Varner, James and Nora Wilson and Rhett French. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael McWilliams and an infant daughter, Amber Joy Wilson. Memorial donations may be made to Mom's Pantry, 1189 NW Ohio St., Towanda, KS 67144.
