Bobby Lee Stanley

Bobby Lee Stanley, 93, of Augusta, KS, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 in, Augusta, KS. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026 and service 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Bobby was born in Strong City, KS on July 25, 1932, to the late Rena Mae (Ferrell) Stanley and John William Stanley, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy. He later worked in experimental aircraft for Cessna and Boeing. He was a member of the Lions Club and was very talented at building miniature houses, barns, and other structures even having a few on display at the Augusta Historical Museum. Bobby loved watching sports for all his favorite teams including the KC Royals, KC Chiefs, and KU Jayhawks. He frequently attended football and basketball games at Butler Community College. On Nov. 4, 1960 he married Patricia Ann (Wentz) Stanley in Augusta, KS. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, John Jr., David, and Earl Stanley. He is survived by: son, Paul Stanley (Stacey); grandchildren, Marcus Stanley, John Stanley (Erin), Chris Stanley (Kendra), Kylee Stanley (Tony Haynes), Zach Stanley (Devan); great grandchildren, Kaden and Lydia Stanley, Logan and Madeline Stanley, Bradyn, Cade, Aaron, Brilee, and Cooper Stanley, Cohen Henry, and Julianne Haynes.
