Bernardino Zuñiga, Jr.

Bernardino "Benny" Zuñiga, Jr., 66, of Wichita, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at home. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 and service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, all at Ark Church, 5501 N Maize Rd., Maize, KS. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Wichita, KS. Benny was born in Laredo, TX on January 21, 1959, to the late Enedelia (Rodriguez) and Bernardino Zuñiga, Sr. He retired as a technician at AT&T after many years. Benny enjoyed riding his motorcycle and collecting pens, watches, knives, and more. He also had an artistic side enjoying woodworking, drawing, and calligraphy. Music was also a large part of Benny's life and he played several instruments. On April 1, 1978 he married Marcie (Barrientos) in Laredo, TX. She preceded him in death in 2018. He is survived by: children, Sarai Zuñiga, Maria Miranda and husband Freddy, Bernie Zuñiga and wife Maddie, and Cindy Sauceda and husband Kyle; siblings, Lettie Hinostroza, Idalia Wolfe, Eluid Zuñiga, Dalila Stevenson, Mitch Zuñiga, Norma Osborn, Danny Zuñiga, Ruth Barrientos, Naomi Zuñiga, Sam Zuñiga, and Francis Soto; grandchildren, Scott Wells and wife Mikayla, Moises Alvarez (Lauren Lenk), Samantha Wells, Abigail Alcorta (Micah Engebretsen), Brasen Zuñiga, Seth Wells, Elijah Sauceda, Arailey Sauceda, Liliana Zuñiga, McKynlie Miranda, Jeremiah Sauceda, Jonathan Sauceda, Noemi Zuñiga, Brenden Zuñiga, and Maxton Zuñiga; and great grandchildren, Ryland Wells, Reece Wells, and Maricela Zuñiga.
