Violet Louise "Lou" Ecton

Violet Louise "Lou" Ecton, 83, of Augusta, KS, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019 at home. Memorial gathering at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Lou was born in Fredonia, KS on April 24, 1936, to the late Dolora E. (Wise) and Ancil G. Shelton. She worked as a dispatcher for the Augusta Department of Safety for many years. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets. On January 2, 1954 she married Vernon  Ecton in Wichita, KS who survives her. She is also survived by: daughters, Joann D. Ecton, and Theresa J. "TJ" Merry; grandchildren, Michael Ecton, Taryn Reilly, and Tyler Hoge; sister, Jane Stotts.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Wounded Warriors Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
