Rebecca Ann "Becci" Hargrove, 73, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in Wichita, KS. Cremation will take place prior to the visitation and celebration of her life. Memorial Visitation with family present will be 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2019. Celebration of Life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2019, both at First Baptist Church, Augusta, KS. Becci was born in Wichita, KS on March 16, 1946, to the late Clarabel (Clark) and Ben Ed Hargrove. She graduated from Mulvane High School, and later graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in education. She was a teacher for many years and retired as a middle school teacher in Andover. Becci volunteered as a board member for the Andover YMCA and the Kansas State Extension Board in Butler County. She also volunteered as an Awana children's group leader at First Baptist Church. K-State Athletics, healthy living, and taking care of people were things that Becci enjoyed. She is survived by: daughter, Stacy Shipley and husband Rob of Olathe, KS; son, Grant Cox and wife Erin of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Bennett and Maris Shipley, Nathan, Mallory, and William Cox; sister, Gerry Lynn Lackey of Bella Vista, AR. She was preceded in death by her brother, Del Hargrove. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or a memorial in her name at the Kansas State University Foundation to support the Kansas State University Athletics Department.
