Michael Wayne Chinn, Sr., 64, loving father, of Augusta, KS, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 in Kansas City, KS. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2019 and service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, KS. Michael was born in Wichita, KS on December 22, 1954, to the late Belva Jean (Pfeil) and Henry Carlton Chinn, Sr. He grew up on a dairy farm outside of Rose Hill, KS. He did many different things throughout his life including carpentry, and owning a game bird farm. Michael owned a cabin in Cedar Vale, KS that he loved to go to and even hosted an annual deer camp for his Wisconsin cousins and other family. He especially enjoyed gardening and hunting. He is survived by: son, Michael Wayne Chinn, Jr. of Hutchinson, KS; daughters, Ariel Chinn, Autumn Chinn, and Lexi Chinn all of Augusta, KS; brother, Henry Carlton "Hank", Jr. Chinn and wife Jan of Cedar Vale, KS; sisters, Carla Jean Purdy and husband Cleave of Douglass, KS, Terri Lee Chinn of El Dorado, KS; brother in law, Craig McClure; numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
