John E. Busch

John E. Busch, 87, of Augusta, KS, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Wichita. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and service 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Augusta, KS. John was born in El Dorado, KS on July 19, 1931, to the late Pearl (Ashworth) and Cecil Busch. After graduation from Augusta High School in 1951,  he served in the U.S. Army. John worked as a press operator in aircraft and was a stockman raising cattle. On December 9, 1989 he married Marilyn (Carr) Busch and she survives him. He is also survived by: step son, Andy Maggard of OK; step daughter, Pauline Maggard of Wichita; sister, Ruth Manning of Augusta; brother, Lawrence "Larry" Busch and wife Ellen of AR; brother-in-laws, Kenneth Spivey of Leon; and Leonard Kingsley of El Dorado; 2 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Bernice Spivey, Lois Hagebusch and Emma Noland. Memorial donations to American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
