Joanna Gayle DaMetz

Joanna Gayle DaMetz, 76, of Towanda, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in El Dorado, KS. Visitation Sunday 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Service 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 430 Eunice, El Dorado, KS. Burial will follow at Towanda Cemetery, Towanda, KS. Gayle was born in Wichita, KS on February 26, 1942, to the late Lura Mae (Cox) and Albert Pyle. On October 8, 1961 she married Harvey Lee in Towanda, KS. He preceded her in death.  Gayle worked for many years as an Avon Sales Representative in Benton. She was also a secretary at Towanda Auto Service (Pyle's Automotive).  She was a member of a bowling team, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Trinity United Methodist Church in El Dorado where she sang in the choir. Gayle enjoyed reading, playing the piano, needlepoint and cross-stitch, sewing, going to garage sales, and shopping with her sister, Bert. She is survived by: sons, David DaMetz and wife Gina of Henderson, NV, Jeff DaMetz and wife Kristi of Lansing, KS; grandchildren, Justin DaMetz and fiancée Tabitha, Kaci Saunders and husband Jeff, Nick DaMetz, Sarah DaMetz, Noah DaMetz, Emma DaMetz, Max DaMetz; great grandchildren, Julian, Evelyn, Isaiah, Emmett, Georgianna. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Pyle; sisters, Nora Gene McWilliams, Bert Gardner. Memorial donations to Alzheimer's Association 1820 E.
