Jannie Flores

Jannie Flores, 65, of Andover, KS, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Wichita, KS. Graveside service 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 25, 2019, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Rose Hill, KS. Jannie was born in El Dorado, KS on November 20, 1953 to the late Ruby (Woolery) and Floyd Lackey. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1971. She worked as an insurance clerk for Chriss Optical, Keith Scholfield, The Insurance Center, and Wartick Insurance. Jannie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Augusta. She was also an ambassador for the Augusta Chamber of Commerce. Jannie enjoyed watching baseball, fishing, camping, playing Bingo, going to garage sales, and bowling. She also loved doing crafts with her grandchildren. On May 27, 1972 she married Larry  Flores in  Augusta, who survives her. She is also survived by: son, Justin Flores; grandchildren, Jewell Ann Flores, Carson Ray Amado Flores, Chandlar Paige Flores, Madolyn Jane Flores and Kaul Amado Flores; and great grandchild, Emmalynn Jane Flores Wilson; sister, Karen Moore and husband Tony of Augusta; sister-in-laws, Gerry Lynn Lackey; Mary Jo Roberts and husband Bob; Sue Forsythe and husband Harold; Jean Landrith; Pam and husband Morris; brother-in-laws, Ron Baxter; Richard Flores, Charles Flores and wife Charlotte; Butch Flores and wife Marsha; Jimmy Flores; and Mike Flores. She was preceded in death by her son, Jake Flores; sister, Shirley Baxter of Augusta; brother, William Lackey. In lieu of flowers, canned goods or donations may be given to the Cupboard in care of New Covenant United Methodist Church, 1710 W Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67203.
