Janiece Ilene Cowan

Janiece Ilene Cowan, 84, formerly of Douglass, KS, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in Newton. Visitation 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Headley Funeral Chapel. Graveside service 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Douglass Cemetery. Janiece was born and raised in Galatia, KS on January 29, 1934, to the late Martha (Ernst) and Henry Wilhelm. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Janiece enjoyed cooking, sewing, and attending her grandchildren's events. On November 27, 1977 she married Bobby Cowan in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by: brother, Ernest Wilhelm; sister, Darlene Rundle; twin sister, Janelle Rodecape. She is survived by: daughter, Cynthia Lowery of Benton; daughter, Juanita Milligan of Andover; brother, Leroy  Wilhelm; grandchildren, Nicole Washburn, Natasha Harrelson, Nathaniel Lowery, Mattie Mae Milligan, Sammy Milligan; great grandchildren, Aubree and Aiden.
