Cordelia "Deon" Markley, 70, of Augusta, KS, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Andover. Family will hold a memorial service 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at 3 Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church, 5118 SW 100th, Augusta, KS 67010 (flowers may be sent directly to the church). Deon was born in Clovis, NM on September 25, 1948, to the late Doris (Thurman) and Elmer Clarence McDaniel. She worked as a dispatcher and accountant for the City of Augusta, but most importantly she was a homemaker and mother. Deon was also an active church member. She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening and tending to her flowers, and playing games with her children and friends. She is survived by: her husband, Gerald G. Markley; sons, Monte R. Markley and wife Anna, Matthew L. Markley; daughter, Mindy A. Markley; grandchildren, Gavin, Stacy, and Benjamen Markley, and Veronica Ellison; brother, Jack McDaniel and wife Susan. She was preceded in death by her daughter, April Markley; daughter in law, Patricia Markley. Memorial donations to 3 Wooden Crosses Cowboy Church P. O. Box 533 Augusta, KS 67010.
