Harry A. Winter, 87, of Augusta, KS, passed away Tuesday, January 24th, 2012. Visitation Friday 6-8 pm and service 11 am Saturday, January 28th, 2012 both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.  Harry was born August 6, 1924 in Weatherford, OK to the late George and Pauline (Koch) Winter. He served in the U.S. Army. Harry worked as a warehouse employee at Boeing retiring in 1986 and he also a worked as a carpenter. On November 18, 1950 at Weatherford, OK he married Mable (Megli) Winter and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Marvin and Eldon; and a sister, Lorene Messick. He is survived by  and children: son Larry Winter and wife Kelly, of Augusta, KS; daughter Donna Pearce and husband David, of Eufaula, OK; brother Garry Winter, of Mustang, OK; sister Shirley Tolton, of Yukon, OK. and grandchildren Alan and Rebecca Winter and Dion and DeWayne Pearce.
