Mary Louise (Johnson) Anderson, 89, Wichita, Kansas, passed into the presence of her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 (Isaiah 26:3). Visitation will be 2 - 4 pm Sunday, October 16th. Funeral will be conducted at 10 am Monday, October 17th, 2011. Both will be at Headley Funeral Chapel, 813 State Street, Augusta, Kansas. Burial will follow at Kensington Gardens, Wichita. Mary was born in Muncie, Indiana, May 27th, 1922, daughter of the late Wishart Byron and Mabel Luella (Larkin) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert H. Anderson, parents, and sister, Frances Ruth (Johnson) Brown. Survivors include brother, Paul Edward (Lois) Johnson of North Webster, IN; sister, Janet Marie (Gene) Armstrong of Florence, KY; nephew, Gregory Harvey (Martha Jean) Brown of Groveland, FL; daughter, Deborah J. (James) Wilkerson of Wichita; son, Jay Robert Anderson of Melbourne, KY; grandchildren Quentin (Stephanie) Pittman of Wichita, Austin (Theresa) Pittman of Indianapolis, IN, Sara Anderson of Redondo Beach, CA, and Jacqueline Wilkerson of Wichita; great grandchildren Madyson, Nicholas, Anthony and Matthew Pittman of Wichita. Mary served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II. She was a classically trained vocalist and musician. Her professional career was spent in Banking. The family requests memorial gifts be given to Hospice Care of Kansas, 1-800-HOSPICE, who provided care for both Bob and Mary Anderson.
