Mary Lee Surface, 88, retired beautician of Augusta, passed away Friday, October 14th, 2011. Memorial service will be 10 am Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Private graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Mary Lee was born in Rice County, Kansas on August 11, 1923, the daughter of the late George W and Susie Mary Ellen (Adams) McGuire. On December 17, 1941 she married George Surface in Augusta and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a daughter, Carolyn Snider. Mary Lee is survived by:  daughter, Marolyn Cheslic and husband Scott of Augusta; son-in-law, Gary Snider of Florrisant, CO;  5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
